How to install CentOS 7 Linux

CentOS is an open-source Linux distribution built on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). CentOS 7 is considered the go-to choice for web hosting because of its stability and the active support from its developer community.

Download CentOS 7

Boot the CentOS ISO File

Once you boot from the CentOS 7 ISO file, you can start the installation process by selecting “Install CentOS 7.” This will launch the graphical installer interface.

If you’re booting from a USB drive, simply click the “Install to Hard Drive” icon on the desktop to open the installation wizard.

Before beginning the installation process, please choose the language you would like to use. The default language is English.

Click Continue to confirm your selection.

Start the Installation Process

Create root password

Once you’re happy with the setup, click Begin Installation to start the process. This will initiate the installation.

Complete install and reboot the system.

After reboot, CentOS is booting
